Our mission is to offer quality life experiences to adults 55 years of age and older. The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow, and thrive.
The YMCA welcomes all who wish to participate and believes that no one should be denied access to the Y based on their ability to pay. Through our Community Support Campaign, the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region provides assistance to active adults based on individual needs and circumstances.
Determining assistance amounts is handled by YMCA staff in a fair and consistent manner. Every patron receives the same benefits, regardless of whether or not they receive assistance. Patrons can feel confident knowing that they are part of an organization that cares greatly for the well-being of all people and is committed to healthy living and social responsibility.
"I have been coming to the Colorado Springs Senior Center since 2006! I was married for 55 years to the love of my life, who also came to the Senior Center until he passed. I participate in line dancing, flyswatter volleyball, and play cards. I enjoy the friendships that I have made over the years, the camaraderie, and the food.”
"I have been coming to the Colorado Springs Senior Center for 15-16 years. Before I moved here, a friend told me about the Senior Center and how it was so dynamic. She was right! I have gone on many trips and attended many classes. Mostly, I play Hand a Food, a card game. I did yoga for several years and played poker. I love the Arts and Crafts Show in the fall. I love the spirit of community we have here. It offers a variety of options for all. The staff is wonderful! They all feel like friends. I feel safe at the Colorado Springs Senior Center. Several people have said to me, “This has saved my life.” It is always the highlight of the week for me.”

Financial Assistance reduces program fees; it does not eliminate them.
